Himalayan Healing Arts
Beyond the massage table, find your inner balance. Our classes offer a holistic journey combining mindful movement (Gentle Yoga) and mental stillness (Meditation), rooted in authentic Tibetan traditional techniques. All sessions are specifically designed for beginners to reduce stress, build focus, and integrate clarity into daily life.
Our Approach: Rooted in Tradition
The techniques taught here are drawn from Tibetan traditional techniques, which stem from the profound principles of mind training within Buddhism. We translate this ancient wisdom into practical, modern strategies to help you:
Release tension and calm the nervous system.
Develop focus through simple breathwork and posture.
Integrate clarity into your daily life.
Guided Meditation & Mindfulness
Personalized guidance to anchor your mind, reduce anxiety, and cultivate deep inner calm.

You will be introduced to the fundamentals of mindfulness in a relaxed and supportive environment. We utilize Tibetan traditional techniques—rooted in the ancient wisdom of Tibetan culture and the principles of mind training from Buddhism—to help you release physical tension, quiet mental noise, and integrate profound moments of clarity and peace into your daily life. Sessions are booked individually or as a focused introductory program to establish long-term mental wellness.

Samatha or “Shamatha” means calm and with Vipassana is one of the fundamental meditation practices in Tibetan Buddhism. This Thangka painting illustrates the different stages of the Samatha meditation with a beautiful visual metaphor represented by a monk chasing an elephant and his struggle.
Gentle Hatha & Mindful Flow
Our Yoga classes emphasize mindful movement over strenuous effort. Rooted in the classic Hatha tradition, these sessions are designed to gently open the body, increase flexibility, and release deep-seated physical tension. We focus intently on synchronizing the breath with movement, using the physical practice as preparation for greater mental clarity and stillness. This class is ideal for absolute beginners, those with injuries, or anyone seeking a therapeutic, grounding movement practice.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I'm completely new to both yoga and meditation. Is this class suitable for me?
Absolutely! All our classes and guidance sessions are specifically designed for absolute beginners. We focus on foundational principles, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident from the very first session. No prior experience is necessary.
What should I wear and bring to class?
For Yoga, please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for movement. For Meditation, wear anything comfortable and warm. We provide all necessary mats and props, but feel free to bring your own water bottle.
Are these classes religious?
No. While the techniques are rooted in Tibetan culture and principles found in Buddhism (mindfulness, compassion), the classes are taught from a purely secular and therapeutic perspective. Our focus is on practical self-regulation, stress reduction, and cultivating inner calm, not religious doctrine.
Guided Meditation sessions are focused on mental stillness, breathwork, and concentration, usually done seated or lying down. Gentle Yoga is focused on mindful movement, posture, and physical stretching (Hatha) to release tension in the body. Both contribute to overall inner balance.
