Terms & Conditions for Himalayan Healing Arts
These Terms & Conditions outline the rules, policies, and mutual agreements governing all appointments, services, and interactions between you (the Client) and Himalayan Healing Arts. By booking an appointment, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
1. Booking, Payment, and Cancellation Policy
This section protects the time of both the client and the therapist.
Booking Confirmation: All appointments are secured by the client providing their full contact details (Name, Phone, Email) through our secure booking system. No upfront payment is required to hold the session time.
Payment: Payment for your booked treatment is due in full at the time of your session (after the service is rendered). We accept all major credit cards and cash.
Cancellation/Rescheduling: We require a minimum of 3 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This brief window is appreciated as it allows us time to offer the slot to clients on our waiting list.
Late Cancellation/No-Show: If you cancel with less than 3 hours' notice, or if you fail to attend your appointment ("no-show"), we reserve the right to decline future bookings that are not secured with a prepayment. We rely on the professionalism and integrity of our clients to respect this commitment.
Late Arrival: Arriving late will result in a shortened treatment time to ensure the next client is not delayed. You will still be responsible for the full session fee.
2. Therapeutic and Health Consent
Scope of Practice: Our therapies are strictly for relaxation, stress reduction, and musculo-skeletal pain management. We do not diagnose illnesses or medical conditions, nor do we prescribe medication. Any health concerns should be directed to a medical practitioner.
Health Disclosure: It is the client's responsibility to fully and honestly disclose all current health conditions, medications, allergies, and injuries via the intake form or custom field. Failure to disclose critical information, particularly regarding pregnancy, infections, or recent surgery, may result in the therapist refusing or modifying the treatment for safety, and the client will still be responsible for the reserved time.
Referral: If the client's condition requires attention beyond our scope of practice, the therapist may request a letter or clearance from the client's primary medical professional before proceeding with a massage.
3. Professional Conduct and Boundaries
Right to Refuse Service: The therapist reserves the right to stop or refuse treatment at any time if they feel uncomfortable, if the client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if the client breaches the professional boundaries of the therapist.
Modesty and Draping: For oil-based massage, professional draping techniques will be used at all times. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Your modesty and comfort are respected throughout the session.
Inappropriate Conduct: Any inappropriate or suggestive remarks or behaviour from the client will result in the immediate termination of the session, and the client will be charged the full service fee.
4. Gift Vouchers and Packages
Vouchers: Gift vouchers are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and must be used by the expiry date.
Packages: Sessions purchased as part of a multi-session package must be used within the specified timeframe (e.g., 6 or 12 months from purchase). Partial refunds for unused package sessions are detailed in the separate Returns & Refunds Policy.
